Where to Place Your Bed for Good Feng Shui
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of positioning furniture in a home to keep the energy flowing and balanced with the environment. The objective is to harness energy forces and establish harmony between an individual and their environment. A Feng Shui consultant in Singapore, share of the best feng shui in the bedroom, it is best to place your bed in the commanding position. Here’s where to place your bed for good feng shui in your bedroom.
What Is The Best Direction For Your Bed To Face?
1. Be in a Commanding Position
The commanding position in feng shui is the spot that is furthest from the door and is not in direct line with it. This is where you spend most of the time in your room. The commanding position, which is also the dominant position is where you should place your bed in your bedroom. This position would be where you are able to see who is coming through the door, without being directly in front of the door.
2. Keeping Your Bed Away from the Toilet Wall
You would want to avoid placing your headboard against the wall of the toilet. You also don’t want to have the toilet on the other side of the wall from your head. If it is not possible to do this, you can hand a mirror on the inside of the door facing the bathroom. This helps to reflect any negative energy back into the bathroom.
3. Have Your Headboard Against the Wall
Some people have their beds floating in the middle of the room, such as having the head board face the door. This not only makes you feel vulnerable as you are sleeping, since you do not know what may come through the door, it is also does not give you a sense of support.
To have that sense of support, it is best to have the headboard of your bed sitting against the wall. This gives makes you feel supported from the back. Avoid placing the head of the bed against the window if you can. This is especially important if you are sleeping on the ground floor or have issues with your eyes.
4. Avoid Sleeping Underneath Beams
Do not place your bed underneath ceiling beams. Having the beams cut across your body while you sleep can cause illness. If you have no choice but to place your bed underneath a set of beams on the ceiling, suspend two flutes with red ribbons at an angle so that the open ends are pointed up. This helps to break the cutting effect of the beam, allowing chi to flow into the flutes and up and away from you.
5. Correcting Blind Spots
If the commanding position of your bed does not allow you to see the bedroom door, place a mirror on the opposite wall so that it reflects the door. A mirror that is placed directly across the door can bounce off any beneficial energy right out of the bedroom. Be careful that the mirror does not reflect the bed. Test the position of the mirror by ling on the bed before you place your mirror. It is recommended that you use a standing mirror so that you can easily change position of the mirror.
